I squeed like a 15-year-old girl this afternoon. I read an article at Just Jared that John Mayer released a new video for the single “Heartbreak Warfare” off his upcoming album, Battle Studies.

This music video is one of the first to feature JM’s version of “augmented reality.” It’s definition according to HowStuffWorks.com is a way for “researchers plan to pull graphics out of your television screen or computer display and integrate them into real-world environments.” It uses your webcam to transmit images from what the camera sees to the browser online. What ever happened to Comes with the Fall?

had my iTunes on shuffle this afternoon while running and “Rockslide” by Comes with the Fall popped up on my iPhone. I haven’t heard this song is probably a year or two and it made an excellent song to keep up the high energy feel while running.

Comes with the Fall is a smoldering rock band that rose out of a time when rock demanded new musical influences be released. They remind me a bit of Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath and a touch of emo like Story of the Year… More

I would like some input from you! I’ve been doing the top 40 UK singles for the past three weeks, but the way I have been doing it is a bit clunky. I can’t do a podcast and play the songs because they are copyrighted. Do you all have any suggestions of what could be done, or is it worth continuing the top 40? Thanks!

“Who Says” is the first single released from Mayer’s long awaited “Battle Studies” album. It’s been three years since Mayer released an album, not including his work with the John Mayer Trio or the live CDs. At first listen, I really didn’t care for this song. It’s got the same mellow guitar sounds Mayer is famous for, but I wasn’t stunned by his music or lyrics like every other song I’ve heard from him.
